A new invention uses magnets to transfer data at superfast speeds using virtually zero energy. The international team has done this with ultrashort light bursts (the duration of a millionth of a millionth of a second) at frequencies in the far infrared, the so-called terahertz spectral range concentrated by special antennas on top of a magnet.
This method is so energy efficient, the magnet produces zero heat. Read the full article to learn more.
