Graphene-based film opens up many possibilities

Australian researchers from multiple universities have come together to develop a light absorbing device made of a Graphene-based film. The device has a couple of unique properties such as being able to heat up quickly to as high as 160 degrees Celsius, and absorb any wavelength of light from UV to microwaves. Researchers believe that the characteristics of the Graphene-based film make it possible for it to be used in desalination of seawater, color displays, photodetectors, and optical components.  Read the full article.
